METHOD FOR OBTAINING OF ZIRCONIUM POWDER

摘要

A method for obtaining of zirconium powder comprises the interaction of zirconium compound with magnesium at high temperature and pressure. Zirconium tetrafluoride is used as zirconium. At that both compounds are pressed into briquettes prior to thr interaction. The process is carried out under conditions of self-distributed high-temperature synthesis under pressure in inert gas atmosphere.
