摘要 An objective of the present invention is to provide a light emitting element which gives directivity to a portion of light emitted by a light emitting element which is re-reflected into the light emitting element by a wiring electrode and dissipates to extract the portion of the light to the outside of the light emitting element. According to the present invention, the light emitting element comprises: a substrate; a light emitting laminate comprising a first nitride-based semiconductor layer formed on the substrate; a second nitride-based semiconductor layer formed on the first nitride-based semiconductor layer, and an active layer disposed between the first nitride-based semiconductor layer and the second nitride-based semiconductor layer; an insulation layer formed on an upper surface of the light emitting laminate; a protrusion formed on the insulation layer, wherein a size of an upper surface thereof is smaller than a size of a lower surface thereof, and a cross section thereof is trapezoidal; a transparent conduction layer which covers upper surfaces of the light emitting laminate, the insulation layer, and the protrusion, and is formed along the upper surfaces of the light emitting laminate, the insulation layer, and the protrusion in a prescribed thickness; and an electrode unit to cover at least one side among the inclined sides of the protrusion on the transparent conduction layer.
