<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the saturation magnetic flux density Bs by suppressing the dissociation of Cu in an Ni-Cu-Zn-based ferrite; to improve the direct current superimposing characteristic of an inductor. <P>SOLUTION: In the cross section of the Ni-Cu-Zn-based ferrite sintered compact, the ratio of the area of a Cu-segregation part is controlled to be 0-2.0% and the ratio of the average Cu concentration(mol%) in the vicinity of the crystal grain boundary to the average Cu concentration(mol%) in the crystal grain is controlled to be 0.96-1.00. Further, in the cooling step of the sintering process, the temperature is lowered at a temperature lowering speed of -300 to -2,000 °C/h. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
