<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can reduce printing time. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device is so composed that the printing data are converted to intermediate data according to the calibration information before it is stored in EEPROM 18 during calibration. The device converts the intermediate data to drawing data in an image formation control unit 15. The drawing data are compressed in a compression/decompression part 21 and stored in HDD 22. After the calibration process, the previous calibration information stored in the EEPROM 18 and the current calibration information stored in RAM14 are compared by a calibration information comparison part 19. When the compared difference based on the set-up information of a printer operation setting part 20 is within a tolerance, the compressed drawing data stored in the HDD 22 in the compression/decompression part 21 is decompressed. Then the latest calibration information in the RAM14 is stored in the EEPROM 18, and printing is performed by a printer engine 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
