Also, the secondary battery includes a jelly-roll-type electrode assembly which successively winds an anode plate, a separator, and a cathode plate, a can member which has an open upper part to accommodate the electrode assembly, a can assembly which seals the open upper part of the can member, a cathode foil part which is prepared in the cathode plate of the electrode assembly, and an auxiliary foil part which is attached to the cathode foil part and electrically connects the cathode plate and the can member.
