The present invention provides a hot rolling side guide including: a main body part; and a hardening layer which is formed on a plane contacting a board by inter-metal atomic bonding in the main body part. The hardening layer includes: a first layer which is formed with a rolling steel and is arranged on one plane of the main body part; and a second layer which is formed with an Austenite age-hardening material, and is formed to cover the first layer. According to the present invention, a surface of the side guide contacts a hot rolled steel plate by the hardening layer, and thus the hot rolled steel is corroded or worn down by interaction like impact, high heat, moisture and friction, or an iron oxide is generated in the hot rolled steel so that scales are made on a surface of the hot rolled steel plate to prevent acting as a defect. Also, the hot rolling side guide has the effect of being able to prevent generation of defects like damages and scrap on the side of the hot rolled steel due to collision between the surface of the side guide and the side of the hot rolled steel. |
