A method for assessing and diagnosing traumatic brain injury (e.g. concussion)from electromyographic (EMG) signal. The method includes placing an electrode set coupled to an amplifier unit on the subject's skin that overlying muscle(s), acquiring EMG signals from the subject through the electrode set, processing the acquired EMG signals using a signal processing algorithm that including Fourier transformation. The power frequency spectrum (also power spectrum) is obtained and used to determine anomaly in EMG from subjects who had traumatic brain injury. |
