PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain proper meshing of a worm gear by making a mechanism in which a tangential line of a pitch circle of a worm wheel is kept parallel to the central axis of a worm at the meshing part, while using a pre-load mechanism leading to prevention of rattling noise.SOLUTION: In an electric power steering device having a worm gear that comprises a worm 1 and a worm wheel 2, and a housing, the housing has a worm side housing 3 and a worm wheel side housing 4 and has a spacer 5 between the worm side housing 3 and the worm wheel side housing 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
