PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite component capable of fixing and sealing a honeycomb body.SOLUTION: A composite component 80 comprises: a honeycomb body 70 comprising a pair of an opening face 75a and a side wall 76; a casing 81 for surrounding the honeycomb body 70; and a joint 79 for jointing the honeycomb body 70 and the casing 81. The joint 79 comprises: a flange part 78 disposed around the side wall 76 of the honeycomb body 70; an engagement part 84 disposed to face an end face on the opening face 75a of the flange part 78, in an inner face of the casing 81; and a solder material layer 28 sandwiched by the flange part 78 and the engagement part 84. The engagement part 84 comprises, from the flange part 78 side, a skin layer 87 formed of stainless steel, a ground layer 86 which is jointed with the skin layer 87 by solid phase diffusion joint, and a base material 85 which is jointed with the ground layer 86 by solid phase diffusion joint, in the composite component 80.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
