The present invention relates to a mobile payment system and method based on short-distance communication using a magnetic field. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: performing, by a mobile computing device (1), security authentication, and requesting, by the mobile computing device (1), magnetic field communication data from a server (3) of a financial institution; generating, by the server (3), financial card application data in a magnetic financial card data format, and transmitting, by the server (3), the financial card application data to the mobile computing device (1); transmitting, by the mobile computing device (1), the financial card application data to an adjacent payment terminal (5) via a magnetic field by using a magnetic field generator (12); and recognizing, by a magnetic card reader (51 or 52) of the payment terminal (5), magnetic information corresponding to the financial card application data, and processing, by the magnetic card reader (51 or 52), payment. |
