摘要 The present invention discloses a real time load following type fuel cell system which is capable of improving performance of a fuel cell stack by additionally mounting an output compensating battery and a variable load circuit on the fuel cell system to complement a slow response of a reformer, thereby enabling the fuel cell system to follow a load in real time when rapid load changes are generated, and a method for controlling the real time load following type fuel cell system. A real time load following type fuel cell system according to the present invention comprises: a fuel cell stack which generates a direct current power source by electrochemical reaction; a reformer which is mounted on an inlet side of the fuel cell stack to reform fuel supplied to the fuel cell stack; a power converter which is mounted on an exit side of the fuel cell stack to convert the direct current power source generated in the fuel cell stack into an alternating current power source; an output compensating battery which is connected between the fuel cell stack and the power converter in series to supply an insufficient power amount that is lack in following a load during operation of the fuel cell stack, or to charge an excessive power amount; and a variable load circuit which is connected between the fuel cell stack and the power converter in series to consume an excessive power amount during operation of the fuel cell stack.
