PURPOSE: A method for setting a spring assembly for mattress is provided by regularly positioning coil springs in a direction facing top and bottom ends of the spring and/or opposite direction not to lean to one side but to absorb load of weight and increase buffering capacity for the mattress and to minimize frictional sound. CONSTITUTION: The method is for obtaining the spring assembly(100) that comprises a spring set(110) having coil springs in R(row) and C(column) directions; helical coil(120) to fix top/bottom wires of the coil springs; and edge parts(130,130') enclosing the coil springs located on outer peripheral side thereof. Multiple pairs of odd and even lines(C',C') of the coil springs are regularly positioned and top and bottom ends facing each other on the same line is opposite to other top and bottom ends on another odd and even lines(C',C').
