PURPOSE: A mobile wireless terminal attempting to automatically change a moving picture call or a voice call is provided to automatically attempt various kinds of calls if the mobile wireless terminal fails to connect an optional call, thereby automatically connecting a general call by automatically requesting the general call if the terminal supports a voice call. CONSTITUTION: A user interface selectively attempts a moving picture call or a voice call by a user. A controller(2) controls to connect the call selected by the user, checks whether the call connection is successful, selects other kind of call that is not attempted by the user if the call connection fails, and controls the call attempt. A memory(14) stores a program and related data for performing an automatic setup mode for automatically connecting the other kind of call if the call connection fails. The controller(2) controls to carry out the automatic setup mode according to a call setup mode decided result of a terminal(100) if the call connection fails. The memory(14) further stores a program and related data for carrying out a manual setup mode for connecting other kinds of calls. The user interface performs the manual setup mode when the call connection fails, inquires of the user whether to attempt the other kind of call when the manual setup mode is carried out, and responds to an attempt of the call that is not attempted.
