[Also in Division C3] Substrates are coated with an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic composition comprises a thermoplastic polyvinyl fluoride resin and, dispersed through the composition, 1 to 100 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the resin, of at least one solid lubricant selected from polytetrafluoroethylene, fluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymers, molybdenum disulphide and tungsten disulphide. The term 'polyvinyl fluoride resin' includes copolymers of vinyl fluoride with other mono ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing at least 60% by weight vinyl fluoride. In the Examples chromate pretreated aluminium panels and zinc phosphate pretreated steel panels are coated. |
