<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength locker module, having stable characteristics with respect to a temperature change at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The wavelength locker module comprises a semiconductor laser 9; an optical fiber 11 for condensing the output light of the laser 9 via a lens 10 to output the light to a transmission line; a half mirror 12 for dispersing a monitor light output from the laser 9; an etalon filter 19 for filtering the dispersed first monitor light, in predetermined wavelength selecting characteristics; electrodes 20, 21 having an etalon filter 19; a temperature change monitor 16 for monitoring the temperature change of the module; a voltage- applying unit 22 for applying a predetermined voltage to the electrodes 20, 21 under the control of the monitor 16; a photodiode 14 for detecting the intensity of the wavelength-selected first monitor light; a photodiode 15 for detecting the intensity of the dispersed second monitor light; and a thermoelectric element 17 for holding the laser 9 at a predetermined temperature, under the control of the monitor 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
