1,175,934. Feeding sheets. WERNER ZINDLER, [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER K.G.]. 24 April, 1968 [29 April, 1967], No. 19397/68. Heading B8B. Sheets 11, Figs. 1 and 2, of a stack are carried on a support plate 4 secured at one end in a slot 6 in a base-plate 1 and urged upwards at the front end by springs 8, 8<SP>1</SP> so that the front corners of the top sheet are held down by curved abutment plates 12, 13 carried on side walls 2, 3, the wall 3 being laterally adjustable by a knurled-head rod 41. A feed roller 22 is carried on arms 25, 26 pivoted on the shaft 27 of a feed roller 28 co-operating with a roller 29, so as to rest by gravity on the stack, and is driven by the shaft 27 through gears 31, 30 by a motor 54 to separate the top sheet when a switch 55 is closed. A clamping plate 34 is pivoted by bearings 32, 33 on the shaft of the roller 22 and rests on the stack, being shaped to assist alignment against the plate 2. A wall 10 to align the front of the stack is carried on bars 23, 24. Guide bars 19, 20 supported on bearers 18 on the walls 2, 3 guide the sheets to the rollers 28, 29. On separation, the sheet buckles until it comes above the plates 12, 13. |
