The compressor is driven by an expansion machine of the screw displacement type construction, of a refrigerant vapour power unit, driven by heat from the waste gases of an internal combustion engine, so that the compressor and expansion engine are combined in one sealed housing while the same high molecular weight, low volumetric cold capacity refrigerant vapour is used for both. Use is esp. for air conditioning in cars. |
