<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method and an ink jet printer capable of recording an image having an image quality similar to that of photograph. <P>SOLUTION: In the image recording method, an image is formed by ejecting ink from a line head 11 to a recording medium F containing thermoplastic resin in the surface layer and having an L value of 83-93, an a-value of -1.0 to 2.0, and a b-value of -7.0 to 1.0. Subsequently, the recording medium is hot pressed at a fixing section 50 such that an image being formed on the recording medium has a mapping value of 60%-95% thus performing image recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
