<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lower resistance to the passage of air with an organic decomposition capacity kept better while maintaining an ozonolysis capacity inexpensively and easily in an air cleaner which comprises a compound system so arranged as to connect organic decomposition effects with the combination of a photocatalytic filter and an ultraviolet lamp and excess ozonolysis effects with an ozonolysis catalytic filter. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalytic filter is arranged in a multi-stage counterflow fashion relative to the stream of air to lower the air passage resistance with the organism decomposition capacity kept better. Two or more of air exhaust ports each having an ozonolysis catalytic filter disposed thereon are provided to switch the ozonolysis catalytic filters used at a fixed cycle thereby maintaining the ozonolysis capacity inexpensively and easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
