LEUKOCYTE SELECTIVE ADSORBENT AND METHOD OF EVALUATING AND SELECTING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high molecular composition having high leukocyte selective adsorptivity and a method of selecting a high molecular composition having high leukocyte selective adsorptivity.

SOLUTION: The high molecular composition suited to a leukocyte selective adsorbent is evaluated and selected by salt concentration changing liquid chromatography. In detail, salt concentration changing liquid chromatography measurement is made using the high molecular composition as a sample and the high molecular composition having excellent leukocyte selective adsorptivity can be selected using as an index the fact that the recovery of the sample, which is disconnected from a chromatography separating medium before a salt concentration reaches 1 mM and can be elution recovered, is 85% or more. The high molecular composition having high leukocyte selective adsorptivity can be selected even if a passed or adsorbed blood cell count of leukocyte and platelet of a filter structure body using the high molecular composition is not measured.
