1287631 Speed governors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 17 Oct 1969 [17 Oct 1968] 51055/69 Heading G3B A centrifugal governor comprises a lever 8 for controlling the position of a fuel delivery quantity member 11 of a fuel injection pump in an I.C. engine, acted upon by a manual control lever 21, and a lever 7 coupled to a thrust sleeve 6 adapted to be moved by weights 3, and a lever 28, contacted by the sleeve 6 at a predetermined idling speed, which is pivoted at a fixed point 33 at one end and rests against a stop 37 at the other end under the loading of a flat spring 34 whose effective length is adjustable. Intermediate its ends spring 34 abuts a stop 44 adjustably carried by a screw 45 in a lever 35 pivoted at 33 and adjustable by a screw 47. The sleeve 6 is loaded by an adjustable idling spring 26 which acts over a distance X before the sleeve 6 contacts the lever 28. The position of the stop 37 can be adjusted by a nut 42. Covers 48 and 49 allow access to the adjustment points. If the arrangement is to be used as a maximum speed governor, the distance X can be reduced. The stop 37 can be adjusted by a lever, an electromagnet, pneumatic or hydraulic device. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 107371 |
