<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide service providing software and a service providing apparatus with excellent expandability and adaptability compatible with increase and revision or the like of a device. <P>SOLUTION: An instruction processing section 20a receives a service request of a user from an instruction section 3a and requests a corresponding copy service processing section 22, a print service processing section 23a, or a FAX service processing section 24 to process a service request via a service bus 21a. Any of the service processing sections 22, 23a, 24 receiving the service request controls a corresponding input control section 25, output control section 26a, net communication control section 27, or facsimile communication control section 28 and provides a service by using one or two or more of devices such as an image input section 4, an image output section 5a, a net communication section 6, and a facsimile transmission/reception section 7.
