A packing container comprises a body 1 closed by a cap 2 and containing a trough 5 having sloping side walls 10 from which project ribs 12 to form compartments for receiving dental mirrors 20 and which define a gap 11 for the passage of the handles 21 of the mirrors 20. The trough 5 may have outer walls 6 and be a press fit in the body 1, in which case the end walls 7 of the trough 5 have detent members (8, Fig. 3, not shown) received in corresponding recesses in the body 1. The body 1 has a rebate 3 which matches with a recess 4 in the cap Z to provide a tight seal, and may be of transparent plastics material. A pad 17 of foam material in the cap. presses the mirrors 20 into the trough 5. A sheet of pre-printed paper may be inserted into the body. The body 1 may contain more than one trough 5, and the ribs 12 may be inclined to the vertical. |
