1,265,623. Method of agglomerating fluxes. MESSER GRIESHEIM G.m.b.H. March 9, 1970 [March 13, 1969], No. 11194/70. Heading C7M. Welding powders are agglomerated by mixing the powders with aluminium hydroxide and/or magnesium hydroxide and roasting e. g. to at least 1000‹ C. to convert the hydroxides to oxides. A flux containing 25% CaO, 25% SiO 2 , 30% CaF 2 and 20% Al 2 O 3 is made by mixing calcium silicate, fluorspar and aluminium hydroxide and roasting at 1000‹ C. A flux containing 40% calcium silicate, 40% manganese silicate, 10% Al 2 O 3 and 10% MgO is made by mixing the silicates with aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide and roasting. |
