<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily and freely change a display position on a sub-display part relative to a casing and the direction of display on the sub-display part. <P>SOLUTION: In a portable electronic appliance 10 in which a main display part 14 and an operation part 18 are provided on a front portion 121 of an appliance casing 12 for housing the system components of the electronic appliance, a sub-display part 22 is supported rotatable in a housing part 24 provided on an upper end part 122 of the appliance casing 12 except for the front portion 121, so that a display screen 222 of this sub-display part 22 can take both the states of a visible state where the screen is turned toward the outside of the appliance casing 12 being the front, upper surface and back directions of the appliance casing 12 and an invisible state where the screen is turned toward the inside of the appliance casing 12 being the inner direction of the housing part 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
