The digital transducer for flowmeters provides a pulse output for remote-indicating equipment. The mechanism is of simple construction and can operate for long periods without maintenance. The measuring head output shaft (3) carries a pinion (4) coupled to a reduction gear train (5). The reduction gear output shaft pinion (8a) engages a spur wheel (9) whose shaft carries a cam (10). The cam is in the shape of a comma with its inner curve near the drive shaft fixing point. A finger pawl (11) is held against the cam profile by a coil spring (14) mounted on the pawl shaft. This shaft carries a spur gear (13) driving a pinion (16) attached to the shaft of a pulse generator (15). The generator is attached by cabling to the remote indicator which provides a digital display (18).
