Graphite powder is moistened or solvated with a chemically active monomer which is copolymerisable with unsatd. polyester resins. An unsatd. polyester resin is added to the paste obtained and the mixture is hardened, pref. at ambient temp. using catalysts and accelerators or at elevated temp. using catalysts. Glass fibres or other reinforcing fillers may be added. Products have good resistance to heat and corrosion.
