摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauge control method for improving the accuracy of gauge on the outlet side of a rolling mill by improving the frequency characteristics of automatic gauge control in a reversing cold rolling mill. <P>SOLUTION: In the gauge control method in the reversing cold rolling mill for performing repeated rolling while coiling and uncoiling a steel strip with reels arranged before and behind the rolling mill, the inlet-side thickness deviation signal obtained with a thickness gauge on the inlet side of the rolling mill is separated into low frequency component and high frequency component with a low-pass filter or a high-pass filter, the respective separated signals are outputted to two feedforward gauge control circuits for low frequency and high frequency and a screw-down device is operated on the basis of the reduction timing signal determined by these two feedforward gauge control circuits in this gauge control method in the reversing cold rolling mill. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
