Disinfection process is particularly suited to sewage containing solid matter and provides for the homogenized dispersion of sewage to be preheated in a countercurrent-type heat exchanger. Steam is subsequently fed in and the temp. is raised to disinfection level, the hot steam being produced by single- or multi-stage, combined adiabatic and polytropic changes of state in the syphoned-off steam. |
