<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element in which functional high molecules of proteins, etc., are immobilized which is simple in a forming process, is capable of achieving high resolution, high efficiency, and wide selectivity, and is simultaneously capable of both shortening analyzing time, etc., and simplifying operation by continuously analyzing interactions through the use of high molecules and the separation and detection of substances by one system. <P>SOLUTION: It has become possible to form a gel and high molecule inclusion by one step by forming, in a flow through system such as a capillary, a gel of a mixture of a functional high molecule and a solution of a substance capable of converting its phase into a gel having a network structure such as alkoxysilane.
