Roll arrangement for the straightening - section of a continuous casting machine path

Arrangement for sets of three rolls at the time being mounted in one unit for use in the straightening section of an automatic continuous arc casting machine. The central roll forms a pivot round which the outer rolls can be adjusted so as to follow the arc the profile describes, whilst the upper rolls are mounted on a common vertically displaceable beam for adjustment of the roll gap in such a way as also to be able to follow the arc of movement of the workpiece, being pivoted round the centre and supported by two independent pairs of hydraulic jacks. By arranging several sets of these roll units side by side the adjustment for the whole straightening section can be carried out much quicker than if single roll units were employed.
