Apparatus for the continuous manufacture of artificial sponges from a slurry composed of viscose, reinforcing fibres and a paraphoric agent, consists of at least one platform which can be rotated, and which can form at least one annular open partly raised mould, the mould on the one side being connected with an electric current source, and on the other side during rotation passing fixed stations. The latter include a station for the supplying of slurry; pressure exercising elements adjustable by organo for removal of moisture formed during coagulation; means for recycling a part of the moisture to the mould; a discharge station for discharging coagulated slurry from the mould by means of discharge elements placed outside the platform; and a washing station for the mould placed between the supply station and the discharge station. |
