Tilting framework permitting the emptying of a pig iron ladle into a steel converter without the need of extra motive power apart from the crane used for lifting the ladle. - The device consists of a tiltable cradle supported between two props and fitted with lugs for the crane hooks at the rear, into which the ladle is lowered, the crane hooks being taken off and attached to the tilting lugs for effecting their upwards circular motion to effect tilting and consequent emptying of the ladle.
