<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of improving the visibility of an object of interest and an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor obtains the address of a pixel having higher brightness in pixels for constituting a visible image to decrease the brightness of the pixels of an infrared image in an address corresponding to the obtained address. An infrared light source 4 is intermittently turned on by synchronizing the infrared light source 4 with a time when the infrared image is obtained. A user is in a position to visualize the visible image. Thus, decreasing the brightness of the pixels of the infrared image corresponding to the obtained address selectively obtains the image of an invisible object only.
