[Also in Division H1] Polyamide-acid solutions contain 1 to 60% of a chlorinated polyphenyl and 1 to 50% of antimony trioxide by weight of the polyimide prepolymer. The polyimides are described in U.S.A. Specification 3,179,634. Specified solvents are N,N-diethylacetamide, N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone and dimethyl sulphoxide. The compositions may also contain pigments, dyes or fillers e.g. TiO 2 , carbon, asbestos, bentonites or silica. The compositions are intended for the provision of intumescent or flame-retardant polyimide coatings on film resistors.
