<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing plant leaves/stems powder solving the problem that, conventionally, since barley/wheat young leaves are reaped just after beginning to grow to as short as 30-40 cm after germination and then processed into powder, the yield of the powder is extremely low, resulting in markedly expensive powder. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises the following practice: when the leaves/ stems of an eatable plant, usually called an annual or biennial plant, such as gramineous, leguminous, sesame, buckwheat or solanaceous one, are grown to 30-40 cm after germination, they are further grown without being reaped, and then their reaping is started; thereafter they are more further grown, and their reaping is ended when they bloom and bear fruit; during the period, they are reaped at stages as appropriate; subsequently, the leaves/stems are washed with water and cleaned as soon as possible after reaped, and then dried and ground as conventionally done, thus obtaining the objective powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
