<p>The insulator has its parts joined together by direct adhesion of their end faces, without using a metal core. To reinforce the breakdown resistance of the insulator, glass fibre reinforced cast resin pins are distributed in the middle and over the periphery of the insulator, inset into the parts to be connected, and adhered to them. Pref. the head and foot core of the insulator are also additionally anchored with similar pins. The insulators are also used in switches, etc.</p> |
