<p>A one-piece, thin wall plastic container with an upwardly flared side wall and a transversely extending bottom wall. Near the base of the sidewall is an inwardly extending shelf that forms an internal shoulder. Extending downwards from the internal shoulder is a stacking ring that consists of a no. of spaced indentations. The shoulder and stacking ring act as a base for a container stacked inside. The containers are made by vacuum or pressure forming. These containers do not jam together when a stack is subjected to severe shock. If two containers are forced together one is deformed and crushed axially. As jamming does not occur the defective container can be readily discarded by the vending machine.</p> |
