<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipiece golf ball having excellent repulsion, durability and hitting feel. <P>SOLUTION: The multipiece golf ball is a multipiece golf ball having a core, intermediate layers and a cover, in which the core is formed of a rubber composition to 30 to 40 mm in diameter; the outermost layer of the intermediate layers is formed of a resin material containing≥30 wt.% inonomer resin to the hardness higher than the hardness of the central part of the core; the thickness of the intermediate layers is 0.5 to 2.0 mm; the cover is formed of a material prepared by compounding and dispersing silicone rubber powder, silicone resin powder or their composite power with and into a chief material resin containing≥50 wt.% ionomer resin to a thickness 0.5 to 2.0 mm; the hardness of the cover is higher than the hardness of the outermost layer of the intermediate layers; and the difference in the hardness from the central part of the cover is 10≤(durometer D hardness of the cover - the durometer D hardness of the central part of the core)≤40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
