<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for side impact of a car which can increase the development speed of an airbag without increasing the output of an inflator. <P>SOLUTION: A rear end of a partition wall 10 is located in the vertical dimension range H of the inflator 8, and the rear end of the partition wall 10 is separated from the inflator 8 to form a communication part 13. A rear end part of the airbag is formed in a three-dimensional shape by the inflator 8, and the communication part 13 is kept in a slightly opened condition from the beginning. Thus, a gas G is easily fed to a chest protective chamber B from the communication part 13, and the development speed of the entire airbag 7 is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
