PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery with high capacity and high charging and discharging cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery uses polycarbon sulfide as a positive active material and metallic lithium as a negative active material, and as a solvent of an electrolyte, a mixture solvent prepared by adding 2% to 30% in volume ratio to the total solvent of the electrolyte of tetraglyme and 1,3-dioxolane and/or dimethyl sulfoxide is used. The use of the polycarbon sulfide represented by general formula (CSx )n (in the formula, x is 0.9-2.0, n is a number of 4 or more) is preferable. |
