PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution for taking a measure against temperature rise of a detachable image scanner (image reader) using a cooling fan at the side of a main body and to reduce cost. SOLUTION: The image forming device has the cooling fan on the main body side, a shielding plate at an inlet of the cooling fan, openings on the upper face and the side face of the main body side, openings on the lower face and the side face of the image scanner, and a motor between the two openings. The opening on the upper face of the main body and the opening on the lower face of the scanner adjust in a state that the scanner is attached to the main body, and a wind path leads from the cooling fan on the main body to the opening on the side face of the scanner. |
