The device for controlling a reversible drive system is esp. applicable to railway rolling-stock with diesel-hydraulic drive, using a manual switch metering adhesion between wheel and rail, and reducing output when this is excessive. This involves sensor relays for each direction of revolution, and appropriate contacts on the switch, limiting device and intervening sensor-controlled switch member contacts. The limiting device is also connected to the control contact of an idle-running switch device, which has a second contact connected to the first via a coincidence circuit. Adhesion is monitored by a protective device and relay. |
