PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that can simply turn an imaging element at an optional position as it is, while maintaining hold state of the camera. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with a CCD 36, that obtains an image signal from an image formed through a lens mirror barrel 31, a 5th motor 60 and a 5th motor drive 53 that makes the CCD 36 turn within a plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens mirror barrel 31, an operation section 62 that instructs turning of the CCD 36, and a system controller 43 that electrically controls the turning position of the CCD 36, by using the motor 60 and the motor driver 53 on the basis of the instruction. |
