PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus is provided to reduce costs by allowing the apparatus to perform functions of both optical camera and digital camera. CONSTITUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises a cylindrical member(28); a stator(30); a printed circuit board(32) arranged to be attachable/separatable to/from the space formed between the cylindrical member and the stator, and which performs transmission of electrical signals; an image converting unit(101) attached to the printed circuit board, and which converts optical image of an object and outputs electrical image signals; and an image processing unit(102) disposed within the cylindrical member and electrically connected to the image converting unit, and which compresses and stores electrical image signals generated from the image converting unit. The image converting unit includes a CCD or CMOS type image sensor, and the image processing unit includes a battery, a CCD connection terminal for an electric connection with the image converting unit, a storage member for storing image information, and a micro processor. |
