The rotating sewage is withdrawn by pipe 60 into the settling section 14 under a substantial head of pressure. Clear effluent is withdrawn through pipe 15. The pipe 60 is positioned to leave solids on the walls of chamber 10. The energy in settling tank is reduceed by baffles 65 and 74. The settled solids may return to chamber 10 through a passage 82.</p> |
