<p>1315370 Braiding-machines A G PETZETAKIS 23 July 1970 [8 Aug 1969] 35770/70 Heading D1C In a braiding machine for braiding a central article G by two sets of carriers 3 moving in opposite sinuous paths, the carriers are supported and driven by two freely rotatable bushings 11 engaging axially spaced horn-gears 1. The two sets of packages may be axially spaced, as shown in Fig. 9, with the two horngears between the packages (Fig. 10, not shown). The carriers are guided around stationary arcuate tracking by rotatable rollers or oscillatable sliders 5. Each carrier may have two rollers or sliders at different heights, to engage tracking alternately at corresponding heights. The track 2 may be further from the axis of the horngears than carriers; or, as shown in Fig. 11 closer to it. In the latter case the carrier is provided with two rollers or slides alternately engaging alternate track sections 13.</p> |
