PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating phosphorous and COD-containing waste water, by which the generation of flocculated and separated sludge having hardly dehydrating property and no utility value is suppressed or eliminated and phosphorous is recovered, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method of treating the phosphorous and-COD-containing waste water has a process for adding a flocculant in the phosphorous and COD- containing waste water to flocculate and solid-liquid separating into the flocculated and separated sludge and treated water, a process for adding an alkali and solid-liquid separating, a process for adding Ca or Mg ion in the separated water from the pre-stage and solid-liquid separating a deposited solid material to obtain a phosphoric compound, a process for adding a mineral acid into a separated sludge from the solid-liquid separation in the pre-stage to dissolve to obtain a metallic ion-containing acidic liquid and a process for adding the metallic ion-containing liquid into the flocculation and separation process for the phosphorous and COD containing water. The flocculation is performed simultaneously with a biological treatment if needed. |
