PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer for an electrostatic charge image which can form images with high image density and high resolution, which has preferable fixing property and which can be fixed at low temperature. SOLUTION: The liquid developer is a dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing toner particles containing a coloring agent and a resin as the main components in a carrier liquid such as silicone oil or the like. The developer contains at least an epoxy modified resin having a specified chemical structure as the resin component. The liquid developer is preferably prepared by heating and kneading the coloring agent and the resin having 800 to 10,000 weight average molecular weight to obtain the toner particles and then dispersing the toner particles in the carrier liquid. The liquid developer can be effectively used, for example, for an electrophotographic image forming device (copying machine or the like). The dispersion liquid is also useful not only for a developer but for printing ink, ink for ink jet recording, marker ink or coating material. |
