PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display panel is provided to form a barrier layer by using the oxidation/reduction reaction of electrodes of low resistance such as aluminum or aluminum alloy, thereby improving the joining performance with a transparent conductive film. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display panel includes the steps of forming a plurality of gate electrodes(101a,101b) on a transparent lower insulating substrate having thin film transistor areas and gate pad areas, forming a gate insulating film(102) on the gate electrodes and a semiconductor layer(103), n+ semiconductor layer(104) and source/drain electrodes(105) in the thin film transistor areas, forming a protecting film(106) on the entire surface of the substrate and forming a plurality of contact holes for exposing predetermined portions of the gate electrodes in the gate pad areas and the source/drain electrodes in the thin film transistor areas, forming a barrier layer(108) to the exposed gate electrodes and source/drain electrodes by immersing the substrate in a solution containing a noble metal, and forming pixel electrodes(109) on the protecting film including the barrier layer.
